"The best thing in my life journey»: hot air balloon ride over Burma, Part 2
24 February, 2014
Hot air balloon rides to the Summit sunrise in Burma are quite popular, so better, all ordered in advance, but last-minute travelers should not despair, Because standby tickets are often available on a bit of a discounted rate for 48 hours before departure.
Us (Vanessa traveled with her husband Ryan Wright) Strict instructions were given, be prepared for 5:10 in the morning and, true to his word, Our bus arrived on time - the driver of which performed a small feat, given the condition of some roads and the habits of travelers to be late.
It was a special trip. A wooden bus built in Canada, who picked us up was brought into the country during the Great Patriotic War for the purpose of transferring troops. At the end of the war, the cost of shipping all buses back to Canada was prohibitive, And so they stayed here. To date, the bus fleet has been lovingly restored and they are some of the most unique buses in the world!
After that, how some additional guests got on the bus in addition to us, We made our first trip to the launch area. The pilots introduced themselves and explained the basics of aeronautics. They were cheerful, friendly and joked, But I felt somehow uncomfortable with their jokes.
The pilots divided us into groups, to balance the weight of the basket and gave us free baseball caps. These were souvenirs with a practical purpose, as dust can get into the balloon during its filling, and then descend on the passengers (We never noticed any dust falling, But we were happy to receive souvenirs). It was very interesting to watch, How to prepare balloons. Although watching the fiery flames and the roar of fire, It was incredibly difficult.
