Мачу-Пикчу, Peru
This place is at the top of many travelers ' lists. An impressive "the lost city" Machu Picchu in Cusco was found in 1911 year and is one of the most famous settlements, created by the Empire of the Incas.
In the 15th century the Incas accomplished a remarkable construction feat – on a flat top 2430 meter-high mountains were placed 140 Buildings, including temples and houses. The city was divided into areas for the royal family and for the lower classes.
Stunning architecture – this is the most mysterious part of Machu Picchu. How they could manage a vast empire in an isolated area of Peru without creating any markets is a pretty puzzling fact, and is in stark contrast to most other old cities, where market areas were key. Why didn't they have a typical economy for the rest of the world?, and how they prospered without it?
