South Korea's Prime Minister filed a statement of resignation amid criticism of Government actions, at the time of the accident on the ferry.

Chung Joon-Won's resignation saying, He feels responsible for the bad government's reaction to the tragedy, Yonhap News Agency reports.
«The right thing would be for me to take responsibility and to resign», said Chung.

«I wanted to retire earlier, but the rescue operation was the main priority, and I thought, that it will be a responsible act, to do everything before leaving. But I decided to retire now, to not have any burden on the administration.»

Statement by the Prime Minister Hoon Chong-won comes at a time, as the Government faced growing anger from victims ' relatives, because of, what it has not done enough, to save or protect their loved ones.
