Cocos Islands
Cocos Islands (Килинг) ( Coconuts (Keeling) Islands) - A group of 27 small coral islands, located in the Indian Ocean. The archipelago of coral origin is from the southern part and separately located in the 25 miles North Keeling. Territory - 14,3 km. Population - 596 people., mostly Malays.
In the largest of the islands - most of the population lives West. The main occupation of the population - the cultivation of coconut and copra production, well developed tourism. The climate is humid tropical, the cyclone season from October to April. The administrative center is located on the West Island (West Island). Official language - English. Almost the entire population is Muslim.
