Lonely Planet recommends such culinary festivals, like "Escape for Foodies on Margaret River" (Now "Escape for Foodies in Western Australia"), "Truffle condensation" and "Taste of the Great Southern", as well as world-class surfing, whale watching and coastal walks as reasons, for which the region took the top spot on the list.
