Australia's drying rivers

29 June, 2022

Rivers flow in Australia, which dry up in certain periods. Such rivers are called in English "scream" (creek). Also referred to as temporarily occurring watercourses. They are located in the interior of the continent. They often lack not only a regular constant flow., but also the riverbed.

Australia's dry rivers occur during the rainy period and disappear in the dry seasons..

A number of cries during these periods disintegrate and disjointed bodies of water arise.. Their designation on the map is dotted lines. In other arid areas of the planet, such rivers are called differently.

In the territories and states of Australia there are many drying rivers. For example, there is a Christmas Cry in Queensland (Christmas Creek), Boney Creek (Bony Creek), Nudley Creek, Pudding Creek, Clara Creek, Vacquera Scream. In Western Australia – Kukububba Creek (Kukububba Creek), Pinga Kriek (Pinga Creek), Mahogani Creek. Australia's drying rivers are not uncommon. In Victoria – McLachlan (Cry (McLachlan Creek), Campbel's Creek (Campbells Creek), Mountain Scream (Mountain Creek). In South Australia, Mernmerna Creek is known (Mernmerna Creek). Ruferfords Creek (Rutherfords Creek) located in New South Wales and Tasmania. Stalin Krik (Stalin Creek) located in the Northern Territory.
