Гэрднер (Gairdner) - A large endorheic salt lake in the shallow South Australia, it is considered the fourth largest salt lake in Australia, when flooded.
Gerdner Lake is located west of the lake Torrens, 150 km north-west of Port Augusta and 440 km north-west Adelaide.
Located on semidesert plains of dune topography of red sand, at about 100 Metres away. The area is about 4,7 Thd. km2.
The lake covers more than 160 kilometers in length and 48 kilometers wide with a thickness of salt deposits, verging 1,2 meters in some places. In the dry season – flat basin, covered with sticky mud and salt crust.
